Organizer’s Message

Tom KoerberDear visitor:

If you are visiting this site, then you are probably interested in learning more about the Pride Commitment Ceremony on March 29th, 2008.  I applaud you for your interest, and do hope that you will take this opportunity to look around at what the site has to offer.  We are attempting to construct this site to be an open and unbiased look into the ceremony — you’ll notice that the comments section is open to any and all comments, whether they are supportive or not.

This event was initially established as a way to educate the public about LGBT couples, and to demonstrate the love and devotion for their partners of those individuals participating in the event.  However, due to the high amount of press the event has garnered, it has taken on a life of its own.  Fortunately, the response from the community has been tremendous, and we are thankful for all of the various organizations that are helping to make this event possible.  Therefore, please patronize these organizations (see right) with your business, and please feel free to let them know that you appreciate their support of the LGBTA community.

At the very least, we do anticipate that this event will open up a dialog about same-sex partnerships, and about our desire for inclusiveness into society as a whole.  After all, there is no difference between an LGBT couple and their heterosexual counterpart.  Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you, and should be posting more about the ceremony soon.  I do hope that you are as excited about this event as I am.

Sincerely,

Signature
